Midsouth Covenant Camp

The Midsouth Covenant Camp will be held on August 2-8, 2015 at Frontier Camp in Grapeland, TX.

Midsouth Camp 2014We will have a wonderful line-up of lessons, games and activities. This seven day camp ministry is for children entering grades 2-9, with CILT leadership training for students entering grades 10-12. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to experience God’s great creation, learn more about His word and grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Our theme this year will be “Bullies of the Bible” which will feature stories highlighting Biblical aspects of why people are bullies, how God can heal bullies, how God wants us to deal with bullies, and how God cares for us as victims of bullies.

We will study these Bible stories that demonstrate bullying:  Cain, Samson, Joseph’s brothers, and Saul of Tarsus. Saul’s Damascus Road experience is an illustration that “you have received the light” and how a bully’s heart and behavior is changed.

As a first-time parent—sending our boys off for a weeklong camp last year was an emotional event! We’d never been away from them for that long. I was proud of them for overcoming their anxieties and going to Midsouth Camp. When I picked them up, there was a difference! They had grown up some—definitely in their sense of excitement about faith, but also in their relationships with each other. Camp was a great way to wind down the summer and help them sense the importance of living for Christ as a new school was going to begin. They’re excited to go again!

Camp was so much fun! I met tons of new friends from all over Texas and learned so much about God. I actually cried when it was time to get picked back up.
