ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!?!?!?!?!

TONIGHT WAS OUR NIGHT ON THE FLOOR!!!!!!

TONIGHT WAS THE NIGHT FOR KING AND COUNTRY!!!!!

TONIGHT WAS THE BIGGEST SURPRISE REVEAL!!!!!!!

Can you tell I am and we were really excited???? Well tonight as we entered early and got floor seats right next to the stage, we were ready to worship with the CHIC band. We were pumped to sing the new songs they were teaching us, and the familiar we longed to sing again.

And then it happened…….

BOOM!

At the center of the floor a guitar started to play…..A man started to sing like an angel, giving glory to God. We turned to see 4 silhouettes standing holding their instruments. They were poised to explode their voices and their music in praise to the One who came to bring us life. There he was DAVID CROWDER!!!!

The man, the beard, the legend! He had come! Of all the artists we all hoped to see, but never thought it would happen. For many CHICs our students have asked for Crowder to lead us in worship, and tonight was the night!

It was so good, so good! God was so good! Worship to our God was soo good! Then the craziest thing happened. David invited some of those to dance and go crazy on the stage as they got the blue grass going. So our very own Rachel Mehl, Vanessa Chiciaza, Angie Chiciaza, and others jumped on stage and went loco with David! This is was worship is! To sing, dance, and shout for Jesus!

As David ended with the classic “O Praise Him”, Judy Peterson got up to bring the word! In classic Judy fashion she started to slay us in the spirit right from the get go! “How are we like Judas?” Judas sold Jesus out for 30 pieces of silver. Sometimes we sell Jesus out for NOTHING! How convicting were those words to us all. But, she was rescuing us reminding us that we are the masterpiece of God. We might fall over and destroy the masterpiece we are because of our sin, but we cannot forget that our God is the one who makes all things new! Our God is the one who puts back together what we mess us! We are not left broken, we are made new!

So we were sent off to process through in small groups! Our small groups have been amazing. They have been real, unfiltered, emptying, filling, honest, and full of love for each other! I see the Word of God come true as we are becoming one in the Body of Christ.

But the night was not done yet! For King and Country was yet to come! We returned to the floor seats we had left and waited as the beat was about to drop! And it dropped, hard! This was such an incredible show where all the members of the band interacted and flooded the whole stadium! So we worshiped! We worshiped hard and loud! We left nothing at the end! We gave all we had.

God looked down and saw that it was good!
