If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me; [John 10v37]
Some people like to localize Jesus as good teacher or a gifted prophet who walked the earth 2,000 years ago. Even Christians can sometimes contain Jesus’ presence and purpose to the age in which He served His earthly ministry.
But is there more to Jesus in The Story?
The writings of the Apostle John especially stress an eternal nature of Christ. Saying, “He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.” (John 1:2-3)
Jesus is the Word made flesh. The same Word that was the creating agent used by God in the beginning. In this sense, Jesus is the face of God made known to all mankind.
To know God is to see Christ. To see Christ is to know God.
